The context

drShake is a new brand of sustainable personal care products launching soon in the Italian market.
On May 27th 2024 the products will be available for pre-ordering via the crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter!

The client problem

“I want to launch a sustainable personal care brand in the Italian market, starting with a toothpastes, and without reducing compromises on the user experience.  How do I design the product for success with a limited budget of few thousands euros?”.

Our approach

  • We started with 1.5 months of preliminary research and the organisation of an ethnographic study to deep-dive into a new product experience.
  • Opting for an equity based model, we soon after became co-founders of the company to get this project off the ground.

Our solution

  • Zero-budget ethnographic study, conducted over 10 days, and supported by videos and short surveys, which resulted in a quick and effective brief to the product manufacturer.
  • Organic social media growth plan, achieving 675 followers on Instagram within 3 weeks, with only 1 day a week commitment.
  • Organisation of 1 week brand activation in Milan (launching on May 27th), including a bike with cargo and an integrated sink, investing a very limited budget.
  • Preparation of the product reward crowdfunding campaign to acquire the first 1.000 customers, while we support on creating a VC pitch deck leveraging our experiences in both policy and marketing.
